About Us

The Goa Excise Govt. Employees Cooperative Credit Society Ltd., was registered on 08/10/2014 under the registration Code No. ARCS/CZ/Credit/10(a)/130/Goa and has been classified as “Credit Resources Society” under Sub- Classification 8(a) of rule 9(1) of the Co-operative Societies Rules, 1962 as applied to the State of Goa (Repealed as per Section 128 of Goa Co. op. Societies Act,2001). Office of the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies Central Zone Panjim Goa on 08/10/2014.

Objectives of the Society:

• To promote social and economic betterment of members through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with cooperative principles
• To encourage the habit of saving among its members and raise funds by mobilizing regular monthly Thrift, Cumulative deposits, Recurring Deposits and Fixed Deposits.
• To provide Financial Assistance in the form of loan to needy members for all reasonable purpose on reasonable terms & conditions.
• To offer retirement benefit & death relief services to its members.
• To provide education to its members, officers and employees on the principles of Co-operation to ensure healthy growth of Co-operative.

The Society has achieved Good governance and a committed management with the Board of Directors with keen interest in the well-being of the Society and has been instrumental for The Goa Excise Govt. Employees Cooperative Credit Society Ltd. in reaching greater heights. Under the leadership of Shri. Narayan S. Nerurkar as a chief promoter of the society 11 members Subscribed Rs.1100/- as share capital and Ent.fee of Rs.110/-. for registration of The Goa Excise Govt. Employees Cooperative Credit Society Ltd Panaji - Goa.

The first meeting was held on 18/11/2013 which was called by Convenor Mr. Pramod V. Zuvenkar

Member

Any person appointed Excise Department, Government of Goa in the state of Goa, on Regular basis, except person appointed on daily wages, casual labour, etc and Working at its any centers & units situated within the area of operations as specified under by-law No.4 (14) can avail membership of the society in a prescribed form by subscribing Entrance fee of Rs.10/- and at least one fully paid up share of Rs.100/-. Further he /she shall contribute to the society a minimum monthly cumulative deposit of Rs.500/- till he continues to be a member of the society however, the General Body may increase and fixed the limit of monthly Cumulative deposit from time to time.

Documents Required for Membership:

• He/she submits a written application in such a form as prescribed by the society.
• He/she pays entrance fee of Rs.10/-. Which is non refundable.
• He/she purchases at least one share of Rs.100/-of the society on application.
• He/she gives in writing an irrevocable authority to drawing and disbursing officer of the department/establishment to recover by deduction from his/her salary, dues payable by him to the society.
